Pressing On!
Across the nation campus ministry is experiencing renewed interest and success, and the Presbyterian Campus Ministry at New Mexico State led the way. Under campus minister David Sallee, they reach hundreds of students each year, and focus on fellowship, worship, Bible study and counseling. The campus ministry also reaches out to faculty and staff to serve the whole university community.
Students at "The Bridge" undertake service projects, build homes in Mexico, and become active in Presbyterian and Disciples of Christ and other congregations in Las Cruces. Students in Counseling, Social Work, and Family and Consumer Science can be placed at the Bridge Ministries for internships in a Christian setting.
The Bridge also houses: Compeer mentoring, "Action for Youth", and Christian Counseling programs.
Sierra Blanca congregations supporting campus ministry can go to this site: horeb.pcusa.org/highered.campus_ministry_survey.htm to participate in a survey of churches involved in campus ministry.
