	Clergy Retreat outing to Sitting Bull Falls

For many years, Sierra Blanca Presbytery has recognized that its pastors and their families are perhaps the greatest resource we have for the making of healthy congregations.  The annual Clergy and Spouse Retreat is an event that celebrates and affirms them. The Presbytery pays the bulk of the cost for these servants to have a weekend away together.   Programming is low key and aims at growth, renewal and refreshment - it is not a time for con ed or for Presbytery to "run by the pastors" any new project or resource! Program time is not regimented, and has varied all the way from self-care issues to watching movies and exegeting the more salient theological points in "Fargo".

The retreat usually begins on Friday evening and runs through Sunday afternoon. The retreat has been located in retreat centers from the rural Sacramento Mountains to just outside Las Cruces, from the desert near Carlsbad to the heights near Cloudcroft.
