Presbyterians in Jal continue
to bring Good News to a community that has needed it, in the
wake of the "oil bust" that sent much of the population
looking for work elsewhere. And the Good News is that the Biblical
promise is for us and God does not abandon us, even in exile,
even in the valley of the shadow. Worship and fellowship
life in this congregation, and its generosity in lending its
building for community functions, continue Presbyterian witness
here as a beacon of light in southeastern New Mexico.
