Though First Presbyterian Church of Hagerman has never been a large church in terms of numbers, we know that the goodness of God is no small matter. In our lives we know that it is God's work and presence in history that sparks the flames of mission. The sparks are fanned to flames by weekly Bible study, worship, and Sunday School. A growing number of children are receiving well deserved attention and are a sign of the church's life and future. Members are like family and visitors soon know our warmth. First Presbyterian of Hagerman shares pastoral services and a ministry partnership with the First Presbyterian Church of Dexter.
The faith and knowledge of Jesus as God's Son goes with each member in all of their community involvements. Called to be Christ's ambassadors in this world, God's love shines through in compassion and caring for neighbors. Much is contributed to the local food pantry and to the Minority Outreach program. We actively support the Ministerial Alliance's efforts for community services of worship and varied avenues of aid. Contributions and support are given to the CROP walk. The Women's Circle provides opportunities for personal growth and service to the community.
In the church, through the church, and beyond the church - each member strives to serve God faithfully in loving response to God's call of reconciliation with the world. Witnessing to God's own self-giving, First Presbyterian of Hagerman offers its five loaves of bread and two fish to be multiplied for all the world.
